Twas the night of Geekway and all through the hall
Everyone was stirring and having a ball
The games were all filled in the library with care
In hopes that attendees would borrow them there
The gamers were nestled all snug in their chairs
While merchants like Game Nite peddled their wares
And her in her t-shirt and him in his cap,
selling cool zombie stuff, all at their lap
When out in the hall there arose such a clatter
Balloon meeple guy is looking a bit fatter
Away to the kitchen I flew like a flash
To flip up some pancakes with spice, just a dash!
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
'Small players Wanted', if you know any, let us know!
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
Sir Stephen Spielberg and a monkey are here!
(aka Matt, the winner of the Monkey Madness tourny)
With a lovely volcano, so lively and black
set to erupt, pushing poor humans back
More rapid than eagles a meeple he came
Looking for players, to play at his game
With Euros, thematic, some dice games and more
prototypes, card games, and games about war!
To the top of the table, to the top of the wall
Give away door prizes, give away all!
As gamers they game and let victory points fly
Sauron keeps watch as the hobbits go by
So down on the docks, the workers they ate
Some buildings were built which opponents found great
And then in a twinkling, a big shiny smile
Great folks and the registration table in style
As he drew up his head and was turning around
Joe and his grin (never a frown)
Dressed all in gamer gear from their head to their feet
We will choose games any day over sleep!
(Dr. Z didn't sleep at all Saturday night by the way! You get the trophy brother)
A bundle of toys for kids of all ages
The domain seems eminent. War, it still wages
They sprang to the trade table, all the games to try!
And away they all flew for the games they did fly!
The gamers exclaimed as they left for the day
I'll see you next year, see you at Geekway!

I'm glad somebody got a shot of Matt Becker with his well earned Monkey Madness trophy, but I can't thumb this. Your poem is pretty crappy and your photographs aren't much better.
