So I have seen it different in different places. Rules vs reference guides vs admiral card.

They way I prefer is:

1-2: 2 Damage to Basestar
2-6: Basetsar destroy
7: Basestar + up to 3 raiders destroyed
8: Every ship (including civilians) is destroyed

The numbers on the back of the rulebook are correct, per FFG's FAQ.

So to spell it out on one single sheet/page:

base game:
Nukes must target a basestar
1-2 = damage basestar twice
3-6 = destroy basestar
7-8 = destroy basestar + 3 raiders (NOT heavy raider)

Exodus exp with the Cylon Fleet (Board) option
Nukes target a space sector
1-2 = damage basestar twice
3-6 = destroy basestar
7 = destroy basestar + 3 raiders (NOT heavy raider)
8 = destroy ALL ships (cylon and Colonial Fleet)
