well, got a few new games to play and the first being Memoir 44 looks great, but a slight problem ...
there are no german hedgehogs
I just left a voicemail and sent an e-mail to Days of Wonder
hopefully they will replace the missing pieces
but just as expected, always check the contents on games ... even shrink wrapped ones

My Memoir '44: Mediterranean Theater expansion was missing some British units - I emailed DoW and had them in a few days, so hopefully it will turn out okay for you, too.

I'm sure it will, just surprised me since it was shrink wrapped and all
looks like a fun game
and I was wanting to see the cards to help on a Star Wars variant that was posted not long ago

It happened to me once, that I bought a M44 expansion that had pieces missing. I contacted DoW via their contacts page on their website and they posted the missing pieces.

So did I. In my base game a german artillery was missing. What a shame for a birthday present

I just wrote an email and recieved my arty a week later... Great support by DoW.

Hmmh, better ask this here. In my base game, the German artillery is the same miniature as the American one, only the color is different. In the rules, they look different. Anyone with the same experience?

They are the same. I did not notice teh rules depicting something else.

Yes, sorry, I just checked and got that wrong. UA and German artillary is the same miniature in the rules on p. 2, but the picture is different from the actual miniatures included in the game.

No, I don't think that they are different. Either you are mistaken or you DO have a new sculpt.

What is shown on Page 3 is exactly what artillery I have. What might be throwing you is that the angle of the image only shows one of the legs instead of both. Check out these pictures:

The two on the left are base game artillery. They are taken from approximately the same angle as the rules:

Here are the same pieces but a shot taken from above:

Do you have something different than these?

No, I don't and I clearly am mistaken...

Very sorry for this and I much appreciate your effort in clearing this up.

By the way, I am learning much from your posts on M44 and other games here on BGG. Many thanks for that too.

what pieces are the two on the right?
are those expansion pieces
they look more like the arty pieces for US and German 88's
I honestly think the arty looks more like an anti-tank gun ...

That's the artillery for British and Japanese.

I actually think it is the Russian and Japanese as the British weren't out at the time of the photo.

The photographer must have desaturated colors or somehow modified the picture. The 2nd one from the right should have been brown not neon orange. And the 2nd one from the left shouldn't be the purple hue.

Yeah the colors threw me off. I think you are right.
