Hi all,

Im just about to get some new dice for this game, rather than dig out my own copy (its burried atm) i thought id look at the manual online.

It uses different coloured dice to the 1st ed, odd :)

So just wondering what way round people play.

i have

Red - Guardians
Black - Evil People
White - Sauronic
Blue - Free People

In the rules on here its

Red - Evil People
Black - Guardians
White - Sauronic
Green - Free People

I would suspect Black/Green are easyer to identify that Black/Blue but i wonder why they switched the Guardian/EP markers round.

There's several versions of the dice colors. Mine are as below and it came with a little 2"x2" piece of paper that explained the substitutions.

GREEN - Sauron Minions("green" with envy for the ring?)
BIG WHITE - Saruman ("white" hand of Saruman, and trying to make up for something by having the biggest dice on the board)
RED - Guardians (Balrog and the Dragons would choose red, I think)
SMALL WHITE - Fellowship (nothing to see here, move along and look in that other hex, please)

That being said, I think I lucked out since my pips are colored and they are pretty easy to read. I've heard some colors are very hard to see.
