How exactly does the "funnel" on the right side work?

I understand that there can only be one player to reach 70 (and only in 4-er game), but can there be two players at 55? Or does each cube have to be on different row so that the first three to reach 40 (? first column with only three rows) can ever have more?

So the most points collectively scored legally would be 70 + 55 + 40 + 30 (or whatever score in last column with four)?

Or could it be 70 + 55 + 55 + 40?

Thanks!

Yep, that's correct. Like the other buildings, one row is dedicated to a player, it's just a little clunkier with Notre Dame, since you have to shuffle them around based on who gets past the bottleneck first.

Correct again!
