I added a comment to image of mine showing markings of the boards for the Qubic game by Qubic Games.

I was trying to make "Qubic Games, Second Edition" and "Qubic Games, Third Edition" in the comment to be links to the game version entries. Anybody know how to do that?

I fooled with this about 15 minutes and I'm stumped. Its late and I'm going to bed.

Qubic Games, Second Edition to go here:

Qubic Games, Third Edition to go here:

Yup:

Navigate to the Qubic (1947) record and pick which versions you want:

So open version 2 and 3 by Qubic Games:

Look at their urls:
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameversion/130443/qubic-games...
and
http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameversion/130442/qubic-games...

Now to the somewhat clever bit:

1. Pop over to the Testing forum and create a post (or in this case just reply). Select insert geek link

2. custom link (aka god link)
This can be used to link to anything on BGG. However, you have to drop the http://boardgamegeek.com bitt so the first link is:
/boardgameversion/130443/qubic-games-second-edition
and
/boardgameversion/130442/qubic-games-third-edition

3. Insert your alternative text as you have stated:

This will give you:

Qubic Games, Second Edition

and

Qubic Games, Third Edition

4. Quote your working links and copy paste the links into your comments page. Yes in theory you could just use the code -geekurl but I hate writing/remembering code and so always use the insert geek link drop-down menu.

Give me a shout if this doesn't work

[version=130443][/version]
[version=130442]some alternative text for the 3rd edition[/version]
yields:
Qubic (Qubic Games edition 1953 with Springfield)
some alternative text for the 3rd edition

(this is not available from the dropdown menu)

So Image Comments follow the Forum Formatting Wiki's rules - right?
http://boardgamegeek.com/wiki/page/Forum_Formatting
If I documented the version tag in that wiki page wouldn't that be the right place?
