FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MMP announce release of OCS: Small World in August, 2012

Multi-Man Publishing (MMP) is pleased to announce the August, 2012 release of the thirteenth game in the Operational Combat Series (OCS) - OCS: Small World.

The thirteenth game in the series departs from the established norms by focusing on a fantasy realm: ‘the small world’ - a world that is too small to accommodate everyone.

Series designer, Dean Essig, commented that, ‘The scope of OCS has slowly been expanding for years to accommodate gamers with different tastes and interests. It was a natural and inevitable progression to advance from ‘OCS: The Blitzkrieg Legend’ to ‘OCS: Small World’’.

Feedback from playtesters has been positive, one anonymous gamer, illustrated below at a recent ‘OCS: Small World’ convention, commented: “Thats not me! Its, its, an imposter. Yeah thats right an imposter! Or it was photoshopped. I swear I was playing Guderian's Blitzkrieg II! Honest!”

Skipping the usual ‘P500’ delay, MMP decided to run straight to the printers with the innovative design and OCS Small World will be available in stores from the first week in August, 2012.

My favorite 18xx game for six players is two games of 1846 with three players each.

They're skeletons. They don't eat much. Just wait until you have to supply the Trolls!

Eh, the trolls are nothing. It's the halflings that can really pack it away. "What about second breakfast?"

This is really exciting. A hybrid of wargame and 'this is not a wargame' wargame.

Rule 7.11.3(c) When out of supply, troll units can still attack an adjacent hex. If they successfully destroy any unit, no matter friendly or foe, they will be treated as supplied for the rest of the turn. If not, they are eliminated and removed from the game immediately.

It's not that bad. For every combat that involves the trolls, each enemy step lost (not retreats) on the CRT will generate 1T supply.

Can this be combined with Case Blue and Guderians Blitzkrieg for a truly epic gaming experience?

Which Troll units are the ones that can only make night attacks? I'm working on a variant that let's them use sewer movement to get around during the day...
