I have played mercenary mode a couple of times now, both as team and solo.
Both times i have not been close to any successfull exploring.
After the 15 turns, my deck is powered up and ready to Explorer but the game ends there.
Is it possible to get any strings going in 15 turns?
It seems impossible but maybe i'm doing something wrong?

Are you remembering to pare the bosses from the mansion deck? You should only be encountering easy to kill zombies for the most part, so you can get slaughtering early on...

Hmm... I read the "step 2: modify the mansion" section as "Add the following cards" which are all the bad monsters
I'll try it again.
What are typical mercenary score?

Yes having those bigger infected out of the mansion will make a big difference. From my experience being able to make multiple explores every turn seems to be the key to winning Mercenary Mode. The Triple Barrel Shotgun from the Alliance set is particularly affective. I was once able to get a score into the nine hundreds with it by picking up two to three infected each turn. Otherwise, on average the winner usually scores over two hundred in our games.
