1) May Elizabeth Marry and Jilt an English Noble?
And so get the Jilting Bonus DR!

2) Aging, A royal at 1 ages to 0 and then becomes ineligible for marriage?

For 1) I see nowhere that it says she can't.

For 2) I do not see where it says this is so.

1) Yes this is fine. Historically Elizabeth and Leicester were often linked and many thought she intended to marry him.

2) Be sure to check the FAQ -- this one is answered there:

http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/79811/virgin-queen-faq

21.3 Aging

What happens to a royal with an eligibility rating of 1 that ages?
The royal counter and royal card are removed from the game. However if that historical figure is a ruler or army leader they still retain those roles in the game; they just are now too old to be still eligible to marry.

I'm very dubious about whether a multi-player TYW game could work. What is the Swedish player going to do during the first few turns?

Lick his chops watching the others decimate their forces.

I have a copy of Maharaja someplace, unplayed, which one rather cutting reviewer described as "the world's first 3-and-a-half player game"...

Does William of Orange have to roll for aging if he is jilted or has a last-minute cancellation?

There is an old Game Holy Roman Empire. The best TYW game I know of. Definitely worth checking out.

Sweden can't do much until after it conquers Poland, so the first couple of Turns it is fighting a non player power.

France is restricted on deploying units outside of France.

Sides are France, Sweden, Protestant, Emperor, Spain, Bavaria

So you tae out Turkey and England and add in Bavaria and Sweden.

I'm weak on my history here, but Turkey and England were active participants in the Thirty Years War.

Not really. A Turkish vassal (Bethlen Gabor) did play a major part in the early years of the war, but the Turks themselves were not involved. Likewise, although the Protestant ruler of Bohemia was related by marriage to James I, the help James offer him was almost entirely diplomatic. A few English mercenaries participated, but England did not go to war in Germany. England did go to war with Spain and France in the 1620s, but those wars were sideshows unconnected with the thirty years war (France hadn't even become involved itself at that point). From 1630 Charles I's policy of not summoning Parliament kept England out of continental wars and eventually produced a civil war in England which had the same effect.

edit: in game terms the possibility of Ottoman participation could probably be dealt with by some form of Foreign War card. English participation was more subtle and might be represented through several different cards.

In HRE

Bethlen Gabor is represented and Turkey is a non player power.

There is no real reprfesentation of England, but IIRC their involvement with continental affairs was small, The english sent soem soldiers to europe early in the conflict, but then after that mercenaries, money, nothing that really needs to be represented ina a historical game.
