Hi all,

I'm trying to setup a play-by-email game where I can participate as well as be the game host. Obviously, there is the issue of trust that I will not open the troop movement emails before the deadline, so I wanted to know if there is something to help me with this and instill trust in my opponents.

What I'm looking for is a sort of mailbox that you can only open on a certain day of the week, say, Sunday.

I would ask everybody and myself to send the troop movements to that account by Saturday 23:59:59 at the latest and I would have the whole Sunday to process the moves, update the board, etc..

Any ideas?

Get someone else to host it. Or don't play in it. I wouldn't play in a pbem game where the GM was also a player, no matter what safeguards were in place.

You could set up a game using one of the electronic judges, letting it do all of the adjudication.

Well, this is just for our group of gaming friends and I wanted to provide some fun out of our weekly boardgame nights.

So I'm pretty sure they'll trust me as a playing GM and if I tell them the only way we can do it is by them mailing me and me promising not to open the mails until a certain date, I'm pretty sure they're OK with that.

I'll look at the links, thanks.

If you want to play on floc.net/dpjudge I'd be more than happy to GM - I'm already running a series of games on there.
