I can't seem to find any unpainted, un-based pics of the Demonworld minis online. They were brought to my attention in this recent thread. All the pics online are of the minis mounted on the hex stands, which don't show what the actual bases look like. I'd like to see some shots of them next to the regular Battlelore minis, with their normal bases. I'm actually interested in all their other lines- the chaos/undead and all their associated monsters, the elves, etc., so pretty much anything would be good.

I see that you can get whole 40-count boxes of the minis. In BL terms, that's 10 units. A couple simple boxes of those and you could have an army any a bunch of specialists, for less than the price of one expansion... as long as they're a reasonable scale.

So, can you help me, BGG? You're my only hope!

I've been thinking about using Demon World minis for just this purpose. I have some that I never finished, and need to dig them out. I'll get some pictures as soon as I can.

Off their bases, they are about the right scale, maybe a tiny bit small, and have a circular metal base that fits into the hex base. Not sure how well they'd stand without being re-based. The metal base on them is about 5/16", or about 8mm, if memory serves.

Will definitely dig them out.

Finally got a picture of them. Several of the Demonworld figures won't stand up on their own, but some do. They'd probably need some kind of base to work, but I think as scale goes, they're a pretty great fit.

I said thanks on the photo, but I'll say it again. This really helps and is pushing me into buying some, but I haven't *quite* pulled the trigger yet. Still sorting some ideas out. I'll put up a more formal post soon.

If you do, please let me know how you handled basing them. I'd love to try this myself.

A curve ball Idea on basing, I haven't tried this myself yet, but I would suggest a strip of Rennie's heartburn tablets.

Strip back the foil, remove the tablets, fill eack cavaty with 2 Part epoxy and insert the figures. Let it Cure and peal off the mold.

They look like the correct size and shape

I may well try that for some M'44 specialists.

p.s. yes I have heartburn and was taking a Rennnie just as I read the above post, the light bulb came on instantly.

Cheers
Chris
