Hi all!

I am going to make a quick purchase to bring a game to comicon to play in the hotel room each evening (among some other games we're bringing).

I am leaning towards King of Tokyo because of its theme, 6 player capability, time to play and although it is luck driven with dice, slightly deeper than most "x dice" games with the card play.

Other games "on deck" for a purchase could be:

The Climbers
Evo (second edition)
Castle Panic
Hunting Party

If anyone has some experience with these guys, let me know!

Can anyone recommend a better game to get that fits my criteria? It can be any mechanic, doesn't have to be a dice game, or a comic theme.

-plays ideally with 6 players (5 bare minimum)
-hour or less to play
-fun with some strategy but not a brain burner

Or reinforce my choice thus far!

Thanks!

The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet.

I think king of tokyo would be a solid choice.

Does anyone bring Dixit to these sort of things? It's somewhat light, but I'm not sure if you'd call it "strategic". One can simply go once through the deck if you want a quick game. Original Dixit goes up to 6 players.

If you're open to 5-player, Sentinels of the Multiverse is very suited for a comic book convention. cool

This would be perfect, and I would buy it now if only the 2nd edition wasn't so close...I have just gotta wait for the newer edition.

Great suggestion!

Take it Easy!

You can play this with one or 100+, if you have multiple copies of game. Out of the box, plays up to 6. Easy rules and fun.

I second King of Tokyo and Shadow Hunters.

I also heavily recommend Epic Spell Wars of the Battle Wizards: Duel at Mt. Skullzfyre.

And I mildly recommend Dungeon Run.

Lastly, while completely devoid of strategy, I'm absolutely in love with the party game Cards Against Humanity. And this is coming from someone who hates party games.

I'd also agree with King of Tokyo. Another quick easy multiplayer that I've had a lot of fun with is No Thanks as well.
