So, I just came into another vamilla...but the figures are painted. Half of them look amazing...half of them were done by a 4 y/o. Any ideas on how to remove the paint?

Soak them in Simple Green for a few hours, scrub them with a toothbrush, and rinse. Repeat as needed.

It depends on what they are painted with. It they were painted with a water based paint soaking them in Simple Green or Pinesol will usually soften the paint enough to remove it. If they are painted with a solvent based enamel (such as Testors enamel model paints) or sealed with polyurethane, it will be a challenge to remove the paint without damaging the plastic figure.

Simple Green should work on enamels too.
