The rules state that an attacker can make demands of the victim, and that the victim can give into those demands at any point to end combat.

But what if the attackers sole aim is to destroy the opponent? Is it compulsory to set demands? If no demand is made other than 'I'm going to reduce your airship to a smudge of phlogiston across the landscape', does that mean its not possible for the defender to end combat?

That's my understanding. The defender can also end combat by destroying the attacker cool
