As part of my ongoing efforts to review Dungeon Command properly, I bought a second set of both Heart of Cormyr and Sting of Lolth today and demonstrated them to players as part of D&D Game Day.

The warband I built from two sets of Heart of Cormyr is listed here - I built it first, and called it "The Adventurers". (Later I picked up the second Lolth pack and let Sarah build a warband for it - I'll list that later).

The numbers in parenthesis indicate set numbers (C=Cormyr, L=Lolth)

Warband - Creatures (12 cards)
Dragon Knight (C2) Lvl 5 Str, Con

The idea behind the deck is to be able to defend the adventurers in the deck with the Dwarven Defenders, making it very hard for the opponent to damage them as they approach to melee. Then Heroic Surges and Daring Attacks allow the main melee and ranged attackers to attack multiple times for hard-hitting effect.

Arcane Ritual helps refill the order hand (although it's somewhat tricky to play, with only the two War Wizards able to use it).

Behind Enemy Lines can give a surprise to the opponent, and Into the Fray helps get even slow characters to the front lines very quickly.

The deck relies in the early game on just a couple of creatures protecting each other, but builds up to some hard-hitting action.

I'll post the session reports of the games it played tomorrow once I've gotten some sleep.

The Adventurers take on the Drow

Cheers,
Merric

I think Malarky's question was:
Are you using any of the order cards from Lolth's Sting in this warband And if not, is there a reason for that choice..?

I could have guessed wrong about the question...
