I'm having a hard time understanding the RWB reward for tools - "Special Find". Can someone explain it to me?

If I role a Red, White and Blue tool I can - "You can find a face-down Item of your choice (you must still pay its cost in Item Points)"

Does this imply that you HAVE to role this to purchase items?

Under the Items section of page 7 it says "Once a player collects enough Item Points, he can spend them to "find" an item. Implying that you can do it once per turn..

So what exactly does a "Special Find" give me that I don't already have??

If an item is face-down, then it has already been used. This RWB bonus allows you to use a valuable item more than once.

Does the special find replace your normal find, or could you now find two different items?

It replaces your normal find; you can either buy an unused item, or a used one.
