I was wondering if anyone knows of an automatic dice rolling programme that is available to two or more people on different computers? I have found a few sites, but these can only be seen on one computer. I am looking for a site we can log into and watch the dice rolls of an opponant a well as ourselves.
For example I need to roll 5dice, I roll them and my opponant can see the result at the same time as me.

You could maybe try www.boardgamegeek.com

5d6 = (6 + 5 + 1 + 4 + 3) = 19

2d97 = (33 + 26) = 59

Have I missed something here? Are you saying BGG have such a device? If so, where do I find it?

Thanks.

In a comment you can click the check box for "Enable Public Dice Rolls" beneath the comment box. Then you can click the "Roll" button above the text box by the URL button.

I just did so and rolled a 1d6

1d6 = (2) = 2

Is there a way to add these die rolls in a PM (Private Message). If so, how? Or they can only be inserted in forum posts. Like this:

4xd6 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 = (4) + (1) + (5) + (6) = 16

I get the impression from the "help" that it cannot be done.

I don't think you can add them to a PM -as far as I know, only forum posts like this. But if the players subscribe to the thread, everyone will be able to see all the rolls.

There is an element of trust - there is nothing to stop you deleting the entire post and doing another until you are happy with the roll (or can you tell that a post has been deleted) but apart from that it's an excellent system, and very flexible - hence my 2d97 above.

Thanks for the info. Do you know of a special forum area we should use to create a post just to use for dice rolling? It would seem strange to have a post under for example Tide Of Iron just for dice rolling

There's a Play by Email forum - just start a thread with the appropriate title - Clive's Tide of Iron e-game or whatever - and away you go.

You'll see there are many other such games running there! Good luck, and may all your 5d6 = (3 + 4 + 5 + 1 + 5) = 18 be = 30

You can use:

http://acts.warhorsesim.com/

With the Generic Module. It will keep a log of messages and die rolls.
