Randy and I finished the Fall of 1969, easily the longest turn we have had. The NLF pushed its offensive forward for a third season, but was unable to maintain the tempo and the Free World Allies were able to regain the initiative and start the process of eradicating the pockets of NLF. Casualties were heavy and replacements ran out. After that once proud regiments and their supporting artillery shattered like glass. At the end of Fall 1969 the NLF had a strong holdout in Quang Nam as all that was left from the valiant 9 month offensive.

To make matters worse during pacification 5 more population points shifted their support to the South Vietnamese government. We quit about halfway through Winter of 1969. South Vietnamese leadership, loyalty and morale are at an all time high.

We did a video at the beginning of Fall 1969 part II. Check it out in here on BGG or on youtube.
