Congrats!

In my experience, weekly tends to draw a more reliable crowd than fortnightly but I can understand if there are reasons why that isnt possible at this stage.

edit: Slight misread, thought it was every 2nd thursday, but advice still stands.

Thanks :) We'll start once a month and see how we go. If we get a good level of interest, I will consider making it fortnightly or weekly.

Unfortunately it clashes with my dance class cause manukau would so much less painful to get to.

Good luck! Our North Shore group has been going for a few years now. You don't need big numbers, as long as you have enough people to play a game or two. And keep going.

We do twice a month, by the way - first and third Wednesday of every month.

Excellent work all round in organising this, Dan - the venue was well suited for gaming (once I found the entrance ) and there were at least 3 tables of games going. There was a good spectrum of gamers from complete newbies, to Catan-level newbies, right up to the more fanatical types like us.

Proof that if you build it, they will come!

Thanks for coming out! We had 11 people, including 3 people who had never played Euro games before :) I introduced them to Samurai, and then we had a one lap game of Formula D.

At the other 2 tables, I noticed Dominion on one table and Stone Age on the other. The time really flew! Looking forward to next month :)
