Come out to Snakes & Lattes on Monday August 13, 2012 at 6:00pm for our 2nd annual 7 Wonders tournament.

The game will be taught at 5:45pm, registration begins at 6:00pm and the first round will start at 6:30pm!

There will be a $10 entry fee for the tournament which will include one non-alcoholic drink and a few snack bowls to share during the tournament. This entry fee does include the general "play-all-day" pass so participants are welcome to come early or stay late!

Ilot 307 is co-hosting this tournament with us again and will be bringing along some unique prizes and promos, including at least 1 prototype copy of the new 7 Wonders: Cities Expansion which is scheduled to be released later this month.

As always, we will be happy to teach this game to everyone who hasn't played before. Anyone wishing to learn the game or brush up on the rules should be there no later than 5:45pm to participate in a teaching game before the first round.

Advance sign-ups are not required and since we will be able to accommodate 40 participants, we don't expect to have to limit entrance, but just in case, priority will be given to the first 40 people to register on site at or after 6:00pm.

Rankings will be done by winning percentages. What this means is that the winner of each game receives 100% and the other players receive a lower percentage based on how close their score was to the winner of their game. The average of those percentages from multiple games will determine the rankings.

We expect to have 3 qualifying rounds, but may reduce this to 2 games depending on timing. The top ranked players will then proceed into a finals game including the Cities expansion.

First place will win a copy of 7 Wonders (or another game of equivalent value) with both expansions, Leaders and Cities. Since we most likely won't have retail copies of the new expansion available on this date, we will be providing the winner with a copy from our first shipment! Each player in the finals game will receive a unique 7 Wonders t-shirt provided by Ilot 307 as well as other prizes!

Players will be switching tables and opponents for each round, with table assignments determined randomly.

If you have any questions, please feel free to post here!
