During a family vacation, we decided to try Vegas with 6 players through the addition of 8 dice of a 6th color and it seemed to work well.

I'm sure this somehow fatally imbalances the game, but amongst the rest of this dice-fest, it wasn't noticed.

I also added the 6th color (I chose purple by the way) but haven't played with 6 yet. Thanks for telling that it works, I can't imagine why it wouldn't really.

We've thought about doing it as well.

The only other change we thought about making for playing 6 players was making the stopping amount at each casino to be $60,000-$70,000, just to hopefully get a few more 3+ money cards down on some casinos.

We haven't tried it yet though.

Evgeni, you now need to test it with 7 players for us.

Jeff, be sure to us know how your modification goes.

I also thought that perhaps with more players, everyone should increase or reduce the number of dice they have?

The games plays best if you have an extra set of neutral dice for everyone to place. Therefore I would highly recommend that with 5 players you get an extra set of dice so you everyone can play some neutral colour. With six players you should have two extra sets of dice to make the game work its best.

The neutral die are really key to adding some strategy to Vegas!

We were thinking of getting this game but only if it plays six well. Did you just add the additional dice or did you make any of the other changes listed previously? Thanks!

I can't speak for Drew1365, but when I played six, we just added the additional dice.

Are you specifically asking about the size of the dice in Alea Iacta Est?

I'm worried about a 5 or 6p game with the dummy player being way more likely to suffer from Analysis paralysis, so that with high player counts, it's better to not use it. (there's already more down time due to higher player count; no need to add one more reason to extend that)

What have people seen?

My second question is how many neutral dice is each person getting at the various player counts?
seems like
1p: 4
2p: 3
3,4,5,6,7p: ????

thanks!

Does it matter who starts each round especially with 6 players?

Start player would rotate just as in the original rules.
