For the first few adventures when shuffling the dungeon tiles do you shuffle the chamber tiles in with the regular tiles, or do you pull all of the chamber tiles out until an adventure uses the chamber tiles needed? So if you left them in when playing your adventure you could have a random Horrid Chamber tile in the middle of your dungeon. I didnt get a clear answer from the rules.

Look at page 4 of the rulebook, it gives a list of components you "set aside" and only use in specific adventures. Among these components are the Chamber and Start tiles.

Your Dungeon Tile stack should only have Dungeon Tiles... even in adventures with Chambers. In the adventures with Chamber Tiles mentioned you put the particular Chamber's entrance tile in the stack where directed.

Look at the backs of the tiles.. the entrance tile is Dungeon Tile so the players won't be able to tell where it is in the stack.

Also your chamber tiles stack should be shuffled because there is a chance for a large chamber.

If you aren't playing a chamber adventure you could house rule leaving the two entrance tiles in for fun.

I am assuming there is not a reason to EXIT the dungeon correct? I had a exit stairs accidentally shuffled in with my dungeons tiles last night and just discarded it.

The Exit Stairs are find to have in your stack, all it is is another tile that's a dead end.

has anyone successfully combined caverns from Drizzt with tunnel tiles and such from Ashardalon and Ravenloft? Do they line up?

The artwork is different but the tiles are perfect matches and snap together no problem. They also fit with the new Dungeon Command tiles.

start in cavern but shuffle in a door tile in to your 1st 8,
and play the door where the arrow should be,
this creates a transition from caves to dungeon,

I find this works, only oddity is the monster on the door tile is behind the door, either play the monster ignores the door, players have to use an action to open, or play the monster on the previous tile..next to the hero

or best don't play a monster and save him to play next time you would draw a monster.

dang thats awesome. I own all 3 (Drizzt in the mail) so the possibilities seem near endless to do a random dungeon crawl

I've been toying with that idea, but one problem I can see with mixing the tiles is that both Castle Ravenloft and Wrath of Ashardalon tiles are labeled "Dungeon Tile" on the back, so separating them into their proper games again could prove difficult.

On further thought, one could figure it out by looking at whether it has a bone pile or scorch mark.

The ones in Legend of Drizzt are labeled "Cavern Tile" on the back, so they're easy to tell apart from the other two ... which presents the opposite problem of knowing where they are when you shuffle the sets of tiles together.

What I did was make two piles. I had us start in the caverns and inserted the broken door cavern tile into the cavern mix

If we drew the broken door it led to the dungeon proper and we swapped to drawing Ashardalon/Raveloft tiles

If we went the other way we drew the cavern tiles still

This is for a mammoth game we did where we just tried to survive the game.

I also separated the encounter decks and drew depending on where we were

It's very nice to mix the tiles. people knowing it a dungeon or cavern doesn't matter in the end for me. I made an adventure that players start at mountains (WoA) than get into the castle. After passing a cript(Cr) they should find a stair leading to some caverns(LoD).
Just like some diablo 1 that you keep going down. . .
