I have nothing but good thing to say about KOT. I have teached the game to more than 10 people, most of them non gamers, and they all loved it. It'S also a favorite among my regular game group.

- The game feels scripted and "samey". It plays itself
- The mechanisms are too complex and difficult
- The game takes way too long to complete
- Not thematic enough
- Plasma missiles are overpowered (obligatory Eclipse reference)
- The box insert is beyond non-functional
- The rules are too dry and long
- Not enough player interaction. Multiplayer solitaire
- Not enough meaningful decisions

What were they thinking?

... just kidding! I love this game and so does everyone I've taught it too. It's got a permanent place in my collection along with King of Tokyo: Power Up! when it comes out.

Great great game! My friend talked me into getting it, and he was totally right.
