For all those who didn't follow the recent thread about the new ABACUSSPIELE edition of Hanabi in the other game entry, here is the result:

Thank you for your feedback to improve the game for colorblinds. The rules now feature an avalanche of colors variant that plays with 40 cards (incl. 10 multicolor cards) and you need to build a 6th firework, too. The special thing is, that you are not allowed to say "multicolored" when giving information about colors but must point at the multicolored cards each time you give information about any color.

Congrats, this is a great game that deserves as wide a distribution as possible!

Thanks, actually we only have the German rights but Antoine wrote in another thread that an English edition is planned.

I don't remember this being the original rule. The old rulebook reads:

Quote:
Add the 5 multicolored cards. These are treated as a 6th color
and are used to build a 6th firework. You can give information
about these cards ("You have two multicolored cards in your
hand, here and here").

Yes, this original variant is also in the rulebook. Maybe what I wrote was a bit confusing: The variant I described is a variant of the original avalanche of colors variant. I just wanted to point out that the rules include s.th. NEW
