Hi,

I just received my promo survivors.

As you can see, Object Cards are Talisman sized (64x41 mm) :

Figs are 32 mm from feet to eyes. That's more 35-36 mm (w/o the base). Base is 25 mm round.

I previously found that pic on google but somebody cheated with perspective :

This one I just took is more accurate :

"Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?"

Wait why did you receive those already. They shipped before the game?

Is the tracker well designed? As in, will it damage the character card?

edit: I know nothing about minis production, but isn't there a loss of detail compared to the sculpt?

Or maybe it's your camera

Anyway, I can't wait!

I got them from Ravage Magazine (french edition, I dunno for the US one), there's a limited offer if you order old numbers.
Those 3 survivors are the only ones available outside KS.

Yes, the tracker is well designed. I was afraid too, but it slides well.
My only fear is with 5 objects and some skill tokens, you'll probably have to firmly grip the ID card when moving the XP tracker.

From the photo, it's not noticeable (but there's always losses between the master and mass production). IMO, the figs are still very fine, and colored plastic doesn't do them justice.

(my camera is a smartphone, sorry blush )

Measuring feet to eyes is proper for scale determination, at least old school style. Looks like zombicide will work well with most modern skirmish games.

Cool idea with the street paint on the base, though I do prefer to keep the original colour so they're easily picked apart.

I'm torn, but I think I'll probably go with a street/concrete base because unlike some other games(Flying Frog, I'm looking at you) the character designs are extremely unique and match up very well with the card art. So I don't think identifying them would be very tricky...even sculpts like Doug and Josh which have similar poses at a glance would have very different costume and coloring.

Or go the middle way and paint the top of the base and keep the base edge in the original color.

These look great. I really want to try to paint mine. The problem is that right now we are playing a lot and I don't want to tell my boys that we can't play just because the minis are wet.

Of course the bigger problem is that I can't paint!

You could go after the zombies first. Get some grey primer for plastic and give the zombies a light spray. Then wash 'em all in brown. This will bring out the details.

Next, grab a base color (eg. blue, brown, white, whatever), and one of each type of zombie. Paint a *different* piece of clothing on each of these zombies the same color. When you finally finish some zombies, give them another brown wash to mute the colors.

By the time you've painted all the zombies, you *will* be an expert! Start on the individual characters, or start adding highlights to the zombies.

I'm looking to trade for a copy of the game, although I may have a trade in a few days.

I tried searching through the forums for an answer to my question but I couldn't find anything.

What is the way to get the promo characters for those of us who (sadly) didn't hear about the game till after kickstarter ended?

1 - Search ebay or some place similar.

2 - Stalk Guillotine Games in gaming conventions.
