Are there any good resources for learning the game like walkthroughs or instructional videos, podcasts etc.?

The rule book and scenarios are set up to teach you the game. You only get so far in the rule book, and it tells you to go play the first scenario. Then you add more rules and play the next scenario, and so on.

Well, the rulebook and scenario book are the absolute best resources, and both are available in Ludically's web site:

As for the rest, just browse Earth Reborn's main BGG page; the videos section is literally nothing but reviews, unboxing, and gameplay videos. HatchetJob's video is a great basic overview.

But honestly, the game is so big that you can't get all the rules without reading them. The rulebook and scenario book are the best ways to get a handle on how the game works.

Another nod to the rulebook and scenarios. Some players feel this game is all about SAGS and that the scenarios are only to train you how to play SAGS. I disagree. They certainly train you, but they are incredibly fun right at the get-go, and emphasize the whole modularity of this ruleset.

I would love to see an official set of scenarios released that establish a map, tell a story, and use all (or most of) the rules. As it is, I find the early tutorials are too bare bones to satisfy once you know all the rules.

Clearly, room for expanded scenario packs and/or homebrew scenarios was intended, as the rules for multi-level maps are included in the tutorials, but excluded from SAGS play.
