Last year some time a computer game was announced where the player had a hero piece and walked through dungeons fighting enemies but all using boardgame interactions.

E.g. dice rolls to move and attacks used cards.

It looked quite cartoony, but obviously designed to look like someone playing a board game.

I have a vague recollection that Richard Garfield was associated with it in some way, and that over time you upgrade your deck. I also remember the screenshot had a red dragon on the board and a hero and i think the player had a hard of cards and one of them was an axe.

Ok, with that info, what was the game called, where is the latest info on it, and when is it coming out and on what?

This probably isn't it, but I found some stuff ...edit: from 2009 ... on Mind Twist, a social game in which Garfield had some involvement.
