The company founder sits on the other side of the cubical wall from me. He is 75 years and has a hearing loss. This was the initial conversation:

"John, did you call Eric yet? YES OR NO!"
"NO!"
"Is that a no?"

This is the same gentleman who had me stick a post-it note on a letter that read, "FYI: For your information."

Every time I played Trivial Pursuit, the answer was Babe Ruth. Would that work in this situation?

Have you ever seen 'Logan's Run'? Now that was a smart society with good ideas.

As grey traces of dawn tinge the eastern sky, the three travellers, men of Willowdale, emerge from the forest's shadow. Fording the river, they turn south, journeying into the dark and forbidding lands of The Necromancer...

Unless he's blind, too.

EDIT: Actually "I said NO" would likely look more like...

Did you ever consider his hearing is fine and he says he has hearing loss to get his employees to reiterate when they've made a mistake??

"John, did you call Eric yet? YES OR NO!" (what he's thinking: "you better not say no you sorry excuse for an employee")

"NO!"

"Is that a no?" (what he's thinking: you are so stupid, you think I didn't hear you. I want you to admit in a louder voice how badly you've screwed up this situation by not calling Eric. After you answer this time, I may have you scream it at the top of you lungs....maybe you'll get it right next time you moron!!)

I'm just sayin'....

My employees took to saying "we aren't having a problem with that" when I would ask how something is going.

I found out that that meant "we aren't having a problem with that, because we haven't even started"

So, for them the correct answer would be 'yes'

Well, that's a reasonable and logical response.

Oh, I didn't finish. I acted like I was talking but just silently moved my lips. Then I turned on my heel, let it run awhile and turned it off.
