Just because you put your blinker on, does not mean you can change lanes without looking first.

Save a life, spread the word.

It's fun, it's healthy, it's good exercise. The kids will just love it. And we put a little sand inside to make the experience more pleasant.

You know, they say there was a man who jumped from the forty-FIFTH floor? But that's another story...

I take it "blinker" means "turn signal" in Texas?
Because in the great state of PA, "blinker" means "emergency lights" (aka "four-way flashers.")
You wacky Texans and your curious verbiage.

I usually let people change in front of me if their turn signal is on.

Pennsylvania can suck it. Nobody cares about terminology in any state pretentious enough to call itself a commonwealth. All the REAL states refer to turn indicators as blinkers, and emergency lights as flashers. Pennsylvania is an outlier in every sense of the word.

Why the hell would I envy it when I live in it? You're unnaturally proud of this hellhole.

Okay, yes, you got me there. Between the people who turn left without taking into account the fact they don't have the damn right of way, the lights timed to cause maximum gridlock, and the signs that inform you that in one week this road will be "oiled". Seriously, WTF PA? Now I realize that they mean throwing down a bunch of gravel and oil and hoping that the winter plow doesn't turn the road into a disaster. I can hardly wait until the next snowfall. Thanks so much for "improving" my only route out of my house to my next paycheck.

See, over here in Connecticut we don't use turn signals. You need the element of surprise to get places in a hurry. Using a turn signal is like calling the bank to give them a heads up that you're planning a caper.

Caper?

Caper?

Here in Minnesota we call them crimes. You Connecticut people are outliers.

The proper use of a blinker/turn signal/indicator in FL.

1) Move 1987 Grand Marquis into the far left lane of expressway.

2) Maintain speed of 37.25 MPH

3) Leave left turn signal/blinker/indicator on.

Any other use of signalling only allows other drivers to realize/assume the lane you are changing into is moving faster. Causing these other drivers to speed up and cut off the signalling driver.
