SET UP 1940 scenario:
FRENCH: 32 inf. div. at 5907 (this maybe is an errata counter)
BELGIAN: 16 inf. div. at 1416
1 cav div at 2226.
2 cav div at 2129.
The source for this set up is from the OB of Victory in the West (GMT).
SUPPLY:Units out of supply have HALF combat factors, in attack and defense, and mechanized units can only move one hex (An unsupplied unit defending still needs ammunitions and otheer military items and victuals for fight. Mechanized unis also need oil to move and fight).
SUPPLY SOURCES: FRENCH: Add Paris and Lille. Both are important industrial centers.
GERMAN: add the Rhur cities, for the same reason.
BELGIAN and DUTCH: can trace supply from city in the own county, and from british or french supply source.
BRITISH: Are always suplied in port.
Units Out of Supply are always supplied in defense combat if 1) are in city in the own county. 2) British units cantrace suply to the south or west edge in rance. 3) french units in Port.
WATERGANGS: From the desgn note in p. 15, left column, it seems a difficult terrain to move: mechanized units pay 3 MP per hex, and non mechanized units pay 2 MP per hex.
COMBAT: Like in other "Command" games, defending units can retreat 1 hex instead of reducing one unit, but all units in the stack must retreat.
ALLIED TWO STEPS: Allied aunits are some "brittle". The following french units have two steps: All Tank, Mechanized infantry, Motorized infantry and Infantry divisions with MA 6 or 7.
When reduced, this units have a VCF of 0 and MF = 4.
