The Game Crafter, though it does great work at game component printing, doesn't do so well at printing documents. That's a whole new can of worms in itself. But the fact remains that "rulebooks" included with TGC products can be pretty unprofessional looking as a bunch of randomly assorted, tri-folded pages.

But that's the only option available at TGC. We're looking into ways of reducing the number of pages included in Dog Fight: Starship Edition Core Sets. There is a basic 12 page rulebook, and extended 12 page rulebook, and the 2 page player mats. We've redesigned the player mats to just one page, and updated the basic rulebook to match this design. The layout for game play can remain as you prefer, but new players may like using the player mat, at least at first.

This slight change reduces the three player mats from 6 sheets (2 pages each) to 3 sheets (1 page each). The new single sheet player mats and the updated rulebook can be downloaded for free via either the Heavy Ship Core Set or the Light Ship Core Set. Just look at the documents section above the reviews area.

While you're there, please consider leaving a review for the game. Better yet, if you've played this game, you can leave a review for Dog Fight: Starship Edition on this forum.
