I am looking for fellow gamers to meet up with and play some board games, ideally on the Eastside of LA (very broadly, anywhere between Hollywood and Downtown, plus Pasadena, Eagle Rock, Highland Park). But hey, it's LA, and commuting is part of boardgaming here.
I am 33 and study and teach Latin American literature. I enjoy Euro, some American and light to medium wargames, especially games with historical themes. Willing to try almost any game (Here I Stand and Trajan are two games I'd love to learn) and very happy to teach.
I play with my housemates and sometimes at Game Empire in Pasadena and it's always a lot of fun. However, one can't always get the slightly longer and heavier games to the table, so hopefully there are some folks out there who would like to play those too.
Here's a quick list of some of the games I have:
A Few Acres of Snow
Hope to hear from you if you are interested!
