I periodically hunt outside the US for what other nations think of us and our political vaudeville. This little clip from the BBC brought up a point I hadn't seen discussed here yet. Ryan's 'plan' moves the debate from what IS happening to what WILL happen. At the time when Romney wants to hammer Obama on how bad things are NOW. Pushing the debate on into the future actually gives Obama a stronger footing for the debates.

Not saying who is right or going to win in this thing, just that it is a curious shift in the debate.

I doubt you would be surprised that the impressions we get of US politicians are not in alignment with those US people may have.

Not surprised. Thats why I do the'outside the us' hunt. Doesnt do to get all your news from the same place
