For anyone heading to Canberra in the next couple of months, the National Library's Map Section on level LG1 has a small new exhibit opening on Monday 20 August on 20th century board games from its collection.
There's a dozen games on display, all from the NLA collection, and relating to Australia (Australian games like "Squatter", and games about Australia like "Australian Rail").
Open Mon-Fri 9-5 (not weekends or nights sadly).
The exhibition will be in place for the next 2-3 months probably.

The library is also looking for donations of good condition, complete.Australian-themed or Australian-designed/produced games.

They also have a period game board for a circa.-1900 game on the Boxer Rebellion, but need help to identify the game and publisher it's from.
Picture to be added soon.
