In the first preview I have written about heroes players would have in their repertoire, now it is time to say few words about monsters.

In the beginning of the game every players gets 5 monster cards to his hand, distributed randomly. Every turn player play from one to two monster cards to the region cards.
Monsters in the region sum their strength and they are power which heroes have to defeat. The fight occurs when there would be determined number of monsters in the region, which is shown on every region card. Usually playing monster card would start the fight as the heroes are (usually) placed before monsters (As the heroes look for monsters and the people in the region know just that some kind of monsters threat the people but do not know what monsters lurk in the shadows). These make playing the last monster card in the region very important for the game.

Monsters are similar to heroes. They have strength and sometimes special ability.

Let’s look at some of them:



Żmij is the most powerful monster in the game. It has strength 7 and gives 3 bonus glory points for players who participating in defeating it – all of them but one which provided least strength for the fight.



Wiły from the other side have no strength but they make all special powers of heroes not work in the region.



Leszy is a little tricky. It drops the strength of mightiest hero to zero after the fight.

As you can imagine, playing monsters to regions can be more important then playing heroes cause monsters can make a lot of havoc in heroes ranks and decide who would get points from the region.
Players would have to make some good hand management with monsters cause after playing monster card (or cards) they would discard one monster and take as much to have 5 in their hands. It is best to have right monster for the situation which occurs at the table and players would try to have the best monsters in their hands. The weakest monsters are among them cause you would be many times in situation that you would want to start the fight without changing anything in the heroes side. The best for you in the situation would be to play wolves.

Although I find Zmij more funny than scary the rest look very impressive, especially Leszy.

Thanks for the previews, Maciej, now it's getting clearer. Will the game be available for pre-order and pick up at Essen?
