Hello!

I find myself in a position where I have to spend a large period of time in a room with a colleague for work. To help time pass I need a game that is two players and relatively simple to learn but with a decent amount of depth.

Now here's the catch, we're not 'supposed' to be playing games, but there is nothing at all to do. In which case the game needs to small and portable and very easy to clear away should we need to. Quickly.

so maybe a play time of no more that 15 mins as well?

Go team BGG!

I'd recommend Hive, it's quick and easy to learn with depth in there too and the pocket edition comes in a small bag so really easy to hide things away.

Jaipur - portable, rather easy on spae, and as for playing time - game consists of three duels which can be played separately in under 10 min each.

I'd recommend KGB vs. CIA. A suprisingly challenging game of multi-level bluff that is very compact (especially the first edition).

I'll continue to recommend Hive, but also suggest checking out the Pocket Battles series.

If you're interested in WW2: you get the pamphlet of rules digested quickly, Spearpoint 1943 is quick, dirty and fast clean-up.

Another vote for Blokus Duo. And you may want to check out the version of Blokus Duo that is sold by Target. The pieces snap onto the grid and to put it away, all you have to do is fold it.
