Today I received my order of chessex dice. It has a set of 7 matching dice.

There is a d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and a d10 with tens (I don't know what this is called).

- I'm looking for a good game that would be able to use all these dice.
- It can be a commercial game or print & play.
- It can be modified rules for a commercial game.
- I'm flexible about type of game. I know a lot of RPGs use these sort of dice but I've never played one.
- Preferrably not a game whose primary gameplay is card based.
- It would be good for the theme/artwork of the game to match the colour of the dice. They are white with dark grey speckles and black numbers.

Looking forward to your recommendations.

The dice look and roll great by the way.

This is the weirdest post I've ever read. Okay, maybe not weirdest. But I dunno.

Do you work for chessex?

It's ususally called a percentile die.

Play Dungeons and Dragons. It's easy to jump into if a few people are just looking for fun.

Anyway, I'm sure someone will have better answers. I am a HUGE fan of buying expensive, awesome dice to pimp out games with. It's just . . . I get the game first, and then the dice

Yeah, that is kind of weird now you mention it. Seems logical to me somehow...

Thanks for giving me a name for the percentile die. I'm sure if I worked for chessex I'd have known its name I just found I could order a pound of dice from them and thought that's cool, I might just do that.

LOL, yeah; I use different sets depending on the WH40K RPGs, a gorgeous blue with gold dot set as the Union in Civil War games, but my favorite is using 1d6 in Roman numerals and Hebrew numerals for The Siege of Jerusalem (Third Edition). Slowed the game down a bit until I learned to count to 6 in Hebrew, but damn, they look good.

Their pound o dice is ususally not the top quality dice, just fyi. Great for counters/occasional rolling, but probably bad for rpgs and such!

So... any games that would use all these dice that don't require the precision of an rpg?

I note that I could use some of the dice as counters as well, that's fine.

Besides if they are not accurate rolling maybe I can figure out the probability of certain numbers and use it to my advantage... whistle

Most of the people I play with wouldn't care or notice that the dice were not top quality. They would be distracted by their prettiness, as I am!

Yeah I recently bought about a dozen Chessex(tm) d8s that look like gems or something. I mostly just want to put them in my mouth... but otherwise I use dice to help decide what my imaginary opposition players choose to do.

I've never played it, but I'm pretty sure Formula D uses a few different dice.
