Has anyone developed a way to play this game solitaire?

Well developed is a big word.
I played the game quite a few time solitaire and just played with the normal rules.

Look at your hand (the CP hand first), and make a move you would do if didn't know anything about the AP hand.
Then switch hands. Look at the AP cards and make your move.

It requires some "split personality" behaviour, but it's a fun way to learn the game and try different strategies.

Have fun.

Cheers, Haring

Me too. Just finished a solitaire game with the historical alternative rules that ended with the CP losing in winter 1918 when a Romanian corps crossed the border and landed on an AH victory point area, dropping the VP to zero.

I think you'll find that there are many of us who play solitaire if the game is played at a table (vs. online).

Solitaire is also a great way to learn the cards and the progression between decks. And to try out strategies before using them in ftf or VASSAL gaming.

It helps if you take some time between looking at the hands. For Instance, a working day or sleeping night between switching.
