Names changed to protect every body

John Doe (Psycho Wombat 454)Is supposed to send me game B from unnamed series.

Ivan Ivanovich (Rap Master Gigolo) Is supposed to send me game C from unnamed series.

In the mean time I got other deals going with Bill Smithy (Panzer Thruster 88) and a couple of etc.'s.

So when Psycho Wombat asks me what to do when he hits an out of stock on Game B.

I got twenty names to try to remember instead of just 10. So with my already messed up head (I take some of the blame I'm the one that chose to recreationally kill about 80 billion brain cells in the 70's and early 80's) I of course tell him to order game C from a vendor I know has it.

So looks like I'm going to wind up with 2 copies of game C unless The guys at NWS are lazy right now and don't ship the second copy before Wombat can change the order.

Does any of this make sense?

Or am I just picking a fight for no reason?

(Edits for clarity and because I'm really confused about what I'm saying)

Edit: Some one put hit the nail on the head by pointing out my confusion is coming from a lot of people on BGG having two different names rather than not using a real name!

Nope.

I can certainly appreciate the frustration: I am a TCG/CCG player, and so sometimes have multiple trade proposals on the go (never involving the same cards on my end... at least not intentionally. ^^) Perhaps a simple Excel or Open Office Spreadsheet with Name/Username/Games from me/Games to me could help keep things straight?

This Memorial Day weekend, do not thank a veteran. Say a prayer of thanks for those in our military who gave their last full measure of devotion, and all their tomorrows, so that we could enjoy today and all OUR tomorrows.

I have Excel but I'm too retarded to be able to use it. Maybe if I just wrote stuff down someplace.

I have never understood the desire that seems so prevalent on the internet to use an assumed name, or, often, an undeserved title (Captain this, Lord that, etc). I see it as a sign of insecurity or possibly ulterior motives. It certainly indicates a lack of pride in those individuals' own names.

Internet user IDs are a special problem.

For example, I can't use "Lance" on BGG.

"Lance" was my stripper name when I was with the Chippendales.

I think it is because most people don't see their presence on the internet as an extension of their actual life. I know I don't. Having a username on the internet is no different than having a callsign on the radio. Most people who met me on a radio only know me as Echo 4 Sierra (now Echo 5) or 'Egon'. So, I am Beatposse, Egon, Jason Sadler, and Sergeant Sadler and I am equally proud of each in its place.

Welcome to the World of Tomorrow!

Well, it's the Internet. You already have to be yourself in real life. That being said, I lost all interest in this kind of stuff (pen names)

I use Captain Cockthunder as my user name because my real title, Rear Admiral Cockthunder, seems to make people uneasy.

It seems like this isn't about pseudonyms so much as BGG giving us two names which show. That's unusual. I'm not sure why that is given that neither has to be our real name.

Yeah your right the problem I experienced not so much of pseudonyms but of many people on BGG having two names that is what makes it harder to remember.

Is your middle name Arthur?

Because if it is I'm going to call you and Tammy tonight and discuss that extension you put up in 2009.

I use my actual name because it simplifies purchases.

Otherwise, I'd far prefer to not use it online.
Not for any privacy issue - I just don't feel like the
online me is the same me.zombie
