For a while my playgroup had dedicated Encounter decks for each Adventure. This made playing multiple encounters in a single gaming session way easier. My playgroup has since disbanded and I now mainly bring this out as a sort of deckbuilding board game.

I'm considering buying extra copies of the base game and adventure packs to be able to recreate the dedicated encounter decks (while restricting the entire card pool to three-ofs) but I feel like it would be a great waste of cards (and money) to just keep all those extra cards in a box.

Is anyone out there interested in buying extra player cards? Let me know.

I don't see how extra encounter sets are useful.

For the Core Set, why not try the opposite approach?

Ask around for some with extra sets to get their extra encounter cards.

I guess it wasn't clear in my post but the extra encounter sets are useful in the sense that it keeps you from having to build the encounter deck each time. This way you can simply play through the quests and save on setup time.

I think the idea is great. Maybe I'll try to do the opposite of what you're doing and try to buy just the quest cards. Wonder how many you need from core sets to get each quest through mirkwood its own deck.

No, that part was clear.

My question, however, was not. My bad!

I mean... the 60 card adventure packs. Having those multiple times makes no sense in this context, right?

Only Core Sets and Deluxe Expansions would be useful.

Yeah, as mentioned above I am pretty sure that this is a MUCH better approach, since there are tons of people with multiple Core Sets around, who probably don't need the extra encounter sets.

I hadn't really thought about it. Ideally half the cost of the full box but I'd be willing to negotiate with someone on the exact price.

I am also willing to buy or trade for the following Encounter sets straight up:

Spiders of Mirkwood (core set) x 2
Dol Guldur Orcs (core set) x 3
Journey Down the Anduin (core set) x 1
Sauron's Reach (core set) x 2
Wilderlands (core set) x 2
Twists & Turns (Khazad-Dum) x 2
Hazards of the Pit (Khazad-Dum) x 2
Goblins of the Deep (Khazad-Dum) x 3
Plundering Goblins (Khazad-Dum) x 2
Deeps of Moria (Khazad-Dum) x 2
Misty Mountains (Khazad-Dum) x 2
Western Lands (Over Hill and Under Hill) x 1
Misty Mountain Goblins (Over Hill and Under Hill) x 1

I have extras of most of the Adventure Packs still sealed and I'd be willing to trade a 2 APs for the encounter sets from the Core Set or Khazad-Dum, or 1 AP for the ones from The Hobbit.

Please PM me if you're interested in either arrangement!

Thanks!
