I wonder how many unique heroes come in the game. There are 14 cards per hero...so maybe 20 or 25? It comes with 500 cards and I would guess that the heroes would make up at least half of the deck.

There are actually 15 unique heroes in the box. Each Scheme only uses 5 at one time,so the players won't see the same ones each game.

There are also 28 unique villains, and 4 Masterminds.

Woah. Darn it. This game looks *absolutely amazing*. I've always been a bit more of a DC fan, but that one's just "one currency Ascension". This one is "semi-cooperative everything Ascension should have been". 10/10, so far. Want.

Do you have a list of the heroes and villains?

That's a pretty solid list.

I'll have to make my own Excalibur set, since most of those characters end up getting skipped for being too obscure

That's my feeling exactly. I like DC better, and that game looks okay for something lighter, but the specifics of this sound really interesting.

Yeah, I also like DC...as do my two daughters. I think I will wait for more reviews on both games, but Legendary does some interesting.

Any chance you guys will be demoing at BGG Con? Or maybe at least contributing a copy to the BGG library? I'd love to give this one a spin.

Should we expect the text on the final cards to look like the preview images? They're difficult to read at present.

The text and color schemes have changed somewhat since GenCon, because we felt the same way.

LOVE this game!

As a fan of Marvel Overpower and then Marvel Ultimate Battles- I think this game will finally hit the nail on the head for what superhero card games should be. No starter decks, no boosters, or hunting down rare cards- all in one box. And 600 cards?!? Yowza! That gets me excited.

Yet, I only have two gripes/concerns:

1. The font choice for 'legendary'. I'd love to see a more comic book related font- something with thick weight and possible drop shadow. I know Marvel's been using serif fonts as of late, but I don't think it fits. Just my opinion.

2. Where's the Fantastic Four? Or are you saving those for the expansion? will there be an expansion? If yes, are there extra slots in the box insert for them?

Thanks! Keep up the awesome work! Looking forward to November.

Hi Jeff, love the enthusiasm! Let me see if I can address your concerns.

The font choice was a labor of love and has to do with some internal and Marvel Branding issues. Nonetheless, we tried a few other fonts to give it a more comic book feel and it just wasn't working. We settled on the current font after some lengthy discussion with Marvel.

While I cant divulge all of our plans for upcoming characters, I can tell you that I have a detailed expansion plan in place for Legendary.

To that point, we are gamers over here and really wanted to make sure that the box accommodated two things above and beyond just holding all of the current cards.
1 - There is definitely room for expansions
2 - The tray inside the box will fit cards when they are sleeved. /golfclap

I become increasingly convinced that FFG is the only company that does not know how to make an insert.

Yep, Legendary is the final title. Again, with Marvel there are several product lines, some of which are similar to ours and we needed to massage it a bit from our original title concept.
