Well, I think they're 6mm cubes...

Does anyone know where to get the tiny cubes (like the ones that come in Stronghold)?

I can find 10 and 8mm cubes...but, those tiny buggers are eluding me.

Try education stores like the three Rs. Look for counting and math blocks.

Right now I am feeling very: turbed, pirited, heveled, combobulated, and not tinguished, so don't you dare "dis" me!

Apparently, the link is dead.

Reviving this because it seems it's impossible to find 6mm cubes.

Anyone know where to get 6mm cubes??

If you're out of any chances, 1-cm plastic counting thingies from EAI Education might suffice.

I've never seen 6mm cubes on sale separately, so the easiest course of action would be to just use 8mm cubes instead. Or 5mm dice, which are readily available in a number of colours.

If you really want 6mm cubes for whatever reason, probably your best bet is to make them yourself. 6mm is approximately 1/4 inch, so you might look in DIY shops for 1/4" square profile stripwood and try cutting that down. I'd imagine that if you could get hold of one of those aluminium mitre boxes you could probably use a box cutter to trim one end square neatly, then cut a load of the 'cubes' off about 8-10mm long, set up a stop-block (just blu-tack a bit of wood in the way or something) to make sure that each piece gets trimmed down to the required 6mm, turn the 8-10mm-long bits around and trim the other end down.

Once you've cut them you can paint wooden pieces relatively easily with aerosol-can car paint. Use blu-tack or something similar to stick them down to a scrap cardboard box or something, spray the faces you can see, then once they're thoroughly dry pick them off the blu-tack, turn them upside down and paint the underside as well with the same spray can.

There are some on eBay but the UK seller will not ship to the US. I found a German company that will make special order cubes but I am hoping to still find some premade ones as I imagine they would be cheaper. Several games use them. Someone must be making them as standard!
