Hey all. Just a heads up. The Dead Gentlemen and Zombie Orpheus Entertainment are kickstarting a Sequel to the The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. There are 14 days left, and we still have not hit our goal. Check out the Kickstarter below:

What's that? Still not convinced? Well maybe you need a bit if a background on this awesome series of movies.

What is The Gamers?

The Gamers is a comedy about a group of players playing Dungeons and Dragons, as the try to defeat their arch nemesis, The Shadow! The movie switches between the real world, and the characters in the RPG. It is low budget and hilarious. You can watch it below.

What is The Gamers: Dorkness Rising?

The Gamers: Dorkness Rising is the sequel The Gamers. It follows another group of players through their adventure as they try to defeat the evil wizard Mort Kemnon. It once again follows the player through their real and roleplaying characters lives. IT has a much higher production value, and it is even more hilarious. It has recently been recut into a free Web Series.

What else have The Dead Gentlemen and Zombie Orpheus Entertainment Created?

My favorite collaboration between the 2 is JourneyQuest. It follows a dysfunctional group of adventurers as they try to complete their quest. Hilarity Ensues. Best part is its a free Web Series, so you have no excuse to not check it out. Season 2 is currently under way thanks to a successful kickstarter campaign.

Just saw this on the Kickstarter and figured i would come here to add my support. I was that guy frequently refreshing the website to pledge, being that excited for this project. I know i left the first comment, and was probably in the first 2 or 3 backers (there were a few who were doing the same as me).

That being said, as an avid RPG player, and gamer in general, im 100% for seeing this film made, these guys are brilliant, and funny. as evident with their new project Journeyquest, and their old projects Gamers, and Dorkness Rising.

Please go watch the other two iterations of this series, and pledge, every little bit helps.

Take the time to watch it, you'll love it.

Love Dorkness Rising, one of my favorite movies, loved the strong female character. I even made a Dead Gentleman microbadge a while back: mb

I chipped in on the Kickstarter, looking forward to another movie.

The guys behind this movie are brilliant!
Not only are The Gamers and The Gamers 2 both excellent, excellent movies, but also their web series JourneyQuest rocks. Even their series "Rude Mechanical" which main purpose is to deliver updates is pure genius!

We did it and are currently at 380k with 11 hours left to go. The latest stretch goat reached will get Romance of the Nine Empires (A CCG featured in the movie) produced by AEG, as a stand alone game.

5k More to go to be the highest funded kickstarter movie ever. Get your pledges in.
