Now that the adventure pack 'Shadow and Flame' which closes the Dwarrowdelf cycle, and the Hobbit expansion, what's next?
We know there's 'Heirs of Numenor' in the pipeline, but normally bigger box expansions are released prior their corresponding cycle.

So is there a cycle for The Hobbit (6 adventure packs) and then 'Heirs of Numenor' opens a new cycle? Or the Numenor expansion (looks way awesome!) is the next release?

The Hobbit boxes are completely self-sufficient entries into the catalogue, they stand apart from the main line, almost. Heirs of Numenor corresponds to Khazad-dum, and then the cycle Against the Shadow will follow, using the encounter sets from Heirs of Numenor in the same way Dwarrowdelf used Khazad-dum's encounter sets.

It's all here:

That's what I've been thinking too. I'd hate to have a few months of no new LOTR LCG.

What I know for sure (I'm still waiting hopefully for their respective italian translated releases) are the infos:

"The Hobbit: Over Hill and Under Hill" is a Saga Expansion for LotR LCG that can be played as a stand-alone experience, and will only be followed by a second similar Saga Expansion Box still related to The Hobbit (most probably will be released right before The Hobbit movie hitting cinemas, in december), so no 6-pack-cycle for this.

"Heirs of Numenor" instead is a Deluxe Expansion Set for LotR LCG which requires at least one copy of the Core Set to be played, and will be followed by another 6-pack-cycle of themed APs, similarly to the Dwarrowdelf cycle released with a "Khazad-Dûm" Deluxe Expansion Set as a starting point.

Well based on MaO's release, "Battle of Lake-Town" will be out in late September. I'm still not sure that The Hobbit: On the Doorstep won't be out before HoN (even though it hasn't been officially announced). Those should keep folks occupied.

I could use a little pause in the publishing schedule. I need to catch up and play all the quests that came out after Khazad-Dum!

Is it? I was under the impression you definitely needed the core set. And some posters have claimed that defeating the adventures from TH:OHUH without any of the player cards from the other expansions is near impossible.
