1) How does the german place the strongpoints on the beaches? Does he pick them randomly or gets to choose which one goes on each hex?

1) Please clarify the air rules for june 6. No interdiction, no ground support, no armed recon for the whole day?

1 - The German can set them as he wishes, though a few placements have restrictions (per the scenario setup). When time is a factor, or for playing solo, I suggest random. Addtionally, if planning on playing a short game - for example, through just the first week - then I would place them randomly.

2 - Per the Campaign Game scenario instructions in the playbook, "6 June PM Support": All maps are at -1 Interdiction and the Allies receive 10 ground support points.

Thank you, Dan. The instructions are where you said. What about armed recon?

Just my thoughts on the matter
Random placement may reflect the effectivness of the naval bombardment. You may want to place the strongpoints that are not at or near the beaches as you see fit, but go with a random draw with whatever is left over for the strongpoints near the beaches. If you wanted to create a best case scenario for the Germans as though no effective bombing or naval bombardment had happend then go with no random draw at all.

There are 23 important positions where to place strongpoints on the beaches. Whatever suggestion you make, there will be 15 strongpoints of strength 4 and 8 3's. The only difference will be that for no random draw then there will be only 4's on Omaha, where the chances of holding the americans are greater. Do you agree?

You get a -1 DRM for attacking against a Cliff, a Bluff or a Hill. What happens on a multi-hex attack where part of the attacking units are attacking against those and part are not?

They negate the negative modifier.

In 10.6 it is said that Commandos and Rangers ignore the -1 DRM for firing up a Bluff hexside from the beach. Is that extensive to the landing segments? What if a Ranger drifts and mixes with regular units?
How about advance after combat in the landing segments, for Rangers, mixed troops, and regular troops trough draws?

Yes, commandos and rangers always negate it.

Advance advantages/disadvantages apply to individual units as designated and do not pass it on.

So no, a tank with a ranger cannot advance up a bluff.
