Looking at the expansion packs, it doesn't look like there's much room for a new mission sheet in there. Does anyone have a clue if we can expect more official missions to be released one way or another?

Like I have said before I don´t expect to see a lot in official missions in the future.
Missions take a lot of work to balance out and playtest, if they are to be worthwhile and the game will sell without them.

Having said that, I would be delighted if FFG would prove me wrong.

In my opinion, they were more to just kick start you on some ideas other than straight up dog fighting. Wave 1 expansions don't have any scenarios. So I doubt upcoming waves would, unless the larger ships like MF or S1 get them.

It seems more likely they might just throw one up here and there on their website as PDFs.

A fun project would be to take the missions from the X-Wing video game and recast them as missions for this game.

That will be easier when the A-Wing and Interceptor hit, but I bet there could be some fun to be had with that.

Shouldnt be too hard, I think most missions followed a general theme,

like attacking a capital ship (you could have to launch/stop the launch of torps from a certain area on battlefield toward a table edge)

or escorting a defensless ship, taking out an enemy squadron, scouting containers (i might give that one a miss). Thats all I can remember.
