Just a quick session report from a 4 player game.
Just note the Republicans and Constitional Unionists had been in the lead for turns 2, 3, 4, and through 5.
But the S. and N. Democrats clawed their way back. And in the end it was:
Southern Democrats--90 (10 states)
Northern Democrats--92 (9 states)
Unionists--71 (7 states)
Republicans--54 (7 states)
The turning card was the Southern Dems playing Secessionist Intrigues card in New York where the Unionists had control.
And the Unionist and the Northern Dems doing Fusion Ticket on Pennsylvania to take the state away from the Republicans.
Gotta wonder if the split between the Northern and Southern democrats with an election this close would have sent the country to war as well.
