Does anyone heard any rumors about vassal module? Is MMP working on it?

I will have my copy late September and I would love to take a quick look at game specific rules befor it arrives. Are there any plans to put rules on gamersarchive.net?
Rest titles of the series are already there so...

I would be very surprised if you see game-specific rules for the game online anytime soon. They are trying to sell the game to as many gamers as possible and if they do this coupled with a Vassal module they invite making the game playable to people who have not invested the dollars to enjoy the game without renumeration.

I'm not saying you are attempting to do that, just stating the problem.

I'd rather have the vassal module but no rules on line than the other way around. I want MMP to stay financially successful (as I'm sure you do as well) and why would they risk it by rewarding the unscrupulous?

That clearly is their philosophy in regards to the GTS line and I support it wholeheartedly.

Well, I'm not sure if this is the case.
Baltic Gap is quite fresh (2009), still in print and available at gamerarchive.net

Availability of PDF version of rules got me into OCS in the first place. I'm sure it is very common case. If MMP wants to be sure that nobody will play their games without buying just remove game specific tables (movement, reinforcement, weather, etc.) from publicly available game specific rules.

I expect to see a vassal mod in a fairly short time. As far as the rules go it will probably be a bit longer. The rules for Baltic Gap were up pretty quickly. The updated rules for Guderian's Blitzkrieg II are up now but that took awhile longer. So, who knows when they will be available?
I know I'll have a copy arriving on my doorstep shortly.

Smart manufacturers know that Vassal mods sell physical copies. Stupid ones think they conflict.

Wargaming is a social hobby - and Vassal fills a different niche.
