If you look in my collection, you can see the kinds of games I like.
Our crowd has done Civ, Advanced Civ, Kingmaker, Pax Britannica, Empires
of the Middle Ages, Barbarian Kingdom and Empire... Can you see a pattern?

I'd love to do a grand tour through history with a great multi-player game
for every era.

What can you recommend? Thanks!

This is the kind of games I like best too.

Multiplayer card-driven games: Sword of Rome, Napoleonic Wars, Wellington and upcoming Here I Stand.

Other multiplayer games with cards: Friedrich, Medieval and upcoming Pax Romana, Conquest of Paradise.

Britannia style: Chariot Lords and upcoming new Britannia.

There are some Tilsit/Clash of Arms games I looking into too.

It seems to me like the Britannia-style games and HotW are great suggestions for you. How about Age of Renaissance as well?

I'll put in a second for 7 Ages. Given your group's tastes it should be a good choice, and you can play just one or two ages if time is a problem.

In the wonderful game, Bonaparte at Marengo, this is how to get nasty Frenchies out of a village.

I'm just going to put in a second recommendation for Friedrich. Fantastic game that I wish I could get on to the table more often.
