Does anyone know if anything like this exists for the game currently or maybe if they will be a part of the expansion?

Nothing really exists now; something like it might make it into the expansion, but I don't know that it is planned. There are a number of AARs that post in the forums at Comsimworld, although not usually at the detail of segment-by-segment. I have a number of cyberboard gam files that could be used to play back the turns from ongoing games.

When it is your turn to send a VASSAL move, the wait is excruciating. When it's my turn, well, I've been busy.

I have to ask - why would a monster like this need an expansion??

The expansion has rules for a Random Campaign start and a module for people that want more detailed air/naval interaction. I'm still not sure I am going to bother with it--there is alot of play in the base game.

Admittedly, the Random Campaign Generator in the 1st edition was awesome.

How would that work?

It is a set of tables to roll on. It generates different endings to WW I and the aftermath, like the Russian Civil War, which can affect what nations are on the map, which ones can be affected by Civil Wars, and the like. If you look at the counter sheets for TK2, you'll notice alot of counters for countries that are notional--most are added in from the Random Campaign Game.

I have seen a copy of the expansion kit as of June 2016 (parts of the kit are still being playtested as I type this).

Right now it contains:

1. Upgrades for both TK and DS, including errata, and rule and card changes.

2. Shiffskrieg: more detailed (optional) air and naval module.

3. Dice of Decision campaign generator.

There is a rough cyberboard module for the playtest kits.

There is talk of possibly providing online access to some additional options which involve fog of war.

I think it all looks very interesting.
